Three Days in Milan
March 7, 2024
Buon giorno amici! You're going to love this one! I thought you might like an example of an itinerary that I did for a client for a three day trip to Milan.
Day 1
Arrive in Milan and check in to your hotel. Drop off your luggage if your room is not ready. I love VIU Hotel Milan ~ a nice 30 minute walk to Piazza del Duomo.
My best tip for fighting jet lag is to grab an espresso like a local and get out in the fresh air. Walk to the awe-inspiring Cathedral/Duomo, walk around the plaza and explore this beautiful city.
Have dinner at a local restaurant (ask hotel for recommendations) and try to stay awake until your normal bedtime!
Day 2
After a good night's sleep, head back to the Duomo (book tickets in advance) to look inside and climb/take elevator to the rooftop for amazing views over the city.
*Option to book a walking tour that includes a tour of the Duomo and a visit to see The Last Supper painting at the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
Have a leisurely lunch at a sidewalk café.
Go shopping and/or walk around Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II mall.
Day 3
If you didn’t do it yesterday, visit the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie to see DaVinci's The Last Supper painting (you must make reservations online for the 15-minute visit ~ a guided tour is a good idea).
Visit Castello Sforzesco and then wander around the beautiful Parco Sempione.
Make a reservation at Boccondivino for an incredibly delicious, multi course dinner.
Let me know how I can help you plan your trip! We can start from scratch or I can review what you already have and answer any questions.
Ciao! -Alex
